"A State-Protected Monument"

A keep in the fourteenth century, Zimmertoren's clock tower dates back to 1930 which is credited to clock-maker and astronomer Louis Zimmer. This tower with its world-famous clock dial was named after the astronomer. The monumental dial consists of twelve clocks surrounding a central one in a circular pattern consisting of fifty-seven dials, showing times around the world and moon phases among other things. The on-site museum gives an intriguing peak into the history and workings of the clock.
