The Art Sanctuary is housed inside a listed heritage building that was visualized by Charles Burns who infused Ecclesiological and European cathedral-style elements into the design. Gorgeous murals painted by local artists in the 1970's adorn the walls of this sanctuary that has dedicated itself to promoting visual and performing arts in Philadelphia. Glenside Memorial Hall or Glenside Hall as it is more locally referred to is a historic building that was built to commemorate World War I heroes. Constructed in 1926, this T-shaped, bricked Colonial Revival style structure is now used for private events, social gatherings,meetings and weddings. This two level facility is also available on rent and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.
