Located in historic St. Paul Baptist Church, the Idaho Black History Museum celebrates Idaho's black culture. Open since 1995, the museum offers visitors many interesting historical tidbits, such as a look at Idaho's black cowboys and miners, and Idaho's contribution to the Civil Rights Movement. The building itself also has an interesting historical legacy as one of the first African-American churches in the Boise area, founded in 1909. Activities include storytelling, workshops, lectures and musical performances.

Construida en 1879, esta fortaleza que parece un castillo fue creciendo con el paso de los años, siempre gracias a la mano de obra de los presos. En 1973 fue reemplazada por una prisión nueva. Quienes lo deseen, podrán participar de recorridos guiados de 90 minutos de duración, con los que podrán visitar celdas de reclusión, las celdas de los prisioneros condenados a muerte y la horca. Aquí fue donde se llevó a cabo el único ahorcamiento de Idaho, en 1957. En la actualidad, el edificio es un museo que vale la pena recorrer.
