The Rainbow Falls Trail in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is one of the most scenic sights that has to be seen to be beleived. Set in the valleys of western North Carolina, Nantahala National Forest was officially established in 1920. The largest of the four national forests of North Carolina, it lies in the Cherokee County and stretches over a huge expanse of land. Divided in three districts, namely the Highland Ranger District, the Tusquitee Ranger District and the Cheoah Ranger District, this place is maintained by the United States Forest Service.
