As the name suggests, Oyster House is home to the most sumptuous array of shellfish delicacies. The restaurant's raw bar is famous for its fresh assortment of oysters and clams and the ever-evolving menu has an excellent wine list to go complement it. The interiors are laid back, with the owner's collection of vintage oyster plates donning the brick walls.
Kanella Grill all but transports you to the Mediterranean. This restaurant has several Greek and Middle Eastern influences that are quite evident in their delicious dips of the day as well as other lovely dishes such as fisherman's stew and Kanella platter. Head chef Konstantinos Pitsillides has really put a lot of thought into the menu and makes use of quality ingredients infused with great flavors. One would expect just great mains from such a restaurant, but finish off with a pistachio creme brulee and that assumption will be broken. The service is friendly and helpful, and diners have a choice to sit inside or lounge in the outdoor area.
Little Fish BYOB is ranked among the top seafood restaurants in Philly, and although you have to venture out to Bella Vista, it is surely worth a visit. The main draw is the food here; and the menus strongly focus on fresh and seasonal seafood locally-sourced from artisan purveyors. The restaurant follows a BYOB policy, so you can pair the dishes with a glass of your preferred wine without bearing the brunt of extra charges. Food is served a la carte style from Monday to Saturday and a separate tasting menu is offered on Sundays. The Kampachi, Striped Bass and King Salmon are must-trys. Reservations are highly recommended.
