This establishment holds the oldest liquor license in the state and has been in operation for more than a century. Animal trophy heads adorn the walls of the dining rooms which some diners might find uncomfortably distracting. The menu offers some eye-opening fare such as rattlesnake, yak and fried alligator tail. If you prefer the traditional cuisine, tenderloin, T-bone and New York strip and other options abound. It is also the place to try Colorado favorites like elk and buffalo. They have live entertainment four nights of the week, so you can groove to some Wild West music as you dig into the juicy steak!

Hidden just off of 120th through old town Broomfield sits a small, fast food-sized restaurant that is well-known to locals; Oscar's Kabab and Gyros. From the outside, Oscar's looks daunting, like a sub-par dive restaurant or a sit-down version of a street vendor's cart. Even the inside looks more like a fast food restaurant than anything of real quality. However, the food is remarkably delicious! Though the menu is limited to kabab dishes, gyros, and a few other Middle Eastern and Mediterranean staples, each is made fresh-to-order and tastes like it was homemade back in its native land. The Melting Pot in Louisville, Colorado, is one of only four Melting Pot locations in the state, and one of the most unique in the nation. The building, which houses the restaurant, used to lead to the Coal Creek mines underneath the city! Using the tall structure and many nooks and crannies to its advantage, the Melting Pot cultivates a romantic, intimate atmosphere, with lots of candles, hidden tables and booths, and amazing food and drinks to complete the experience. The Melting Pot's pure fondue menu also has something for everyone; cheeses, meats that you cook at your own table, chocolate, and salad and drink options to complete every meal.
