Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad

If you like going on educational tours then this is not a bad idea to try. The Crossroads Village and Huckleberry Rail road tour gives you a chance to get to know how people traveled in the 1900s. During the small 40 minute tour, visitors can explore the beautiful landscape with scenic woods and lush green meadows. The engines used, are both original and replicas of the ones used way back in the 1900s. An informative tour with history being re-run, this one is surely to be loved by children as well as adults.

St. Lorenz Lutheran Church

St. Lorenz Lutheran Church was built in 1846 by the German community who traveled to Frankenmuth from the port of Bremen. Consecrated to St. Laurentius, a Christian martyr from the 3rd Century, the beautiful church is a symbol of Frankenmuth's history and its splendid Bavarian-style architecture. The Gothic church features antique murals, an old organ, and an altar. The colorful stained-glass windows depicting scenes from the Bible add to its vintage charm. The old church looks surreal during winters when it is surrounded by a blanket of snow. With its fascinating history, St. Lorenz Lutheran Church is an important religious site in Frankenmuth that offers a space for spiritual contemplation.

Holz Brücke Covered Bridge

Built in the 20th Century, the Holz Brücke Covered Bridge is a noteworthy landmark situated in the city of Frankenmuth. Hewn entirely from wood, the bridge's construction features elements which allude to traditional designs and styles, and its exquisite artistry has established it as a prominent tourist attraction. Spanning the Cass River, the covered bridge invites locals and tourists alike to admire its striking framework which especially delights aficionados of architecture. A spectacular sight at night, Holz Brücke Covered Bridge is an iconic landmark in the town.

Frankenmuth Brewery

Michigan's oldest brewery, the Frankenmuth Brewery was established in 1862. The brewery has won several awards and medals in prestigious beer championships for its smooth and delicious brews. You'll be hard pressed to find better brews in Michigan than what are available at this historic brewery. They offer guided tours where visitors can witness the making process of their favorite ales and lagers. After an informative tour, visitors can have a hearty meal at the brewery's in-house restaurant.

Castle Museum

The Castle Museum is a splendid castle-like building built in Renaissance style. Constructed in 1898, to function as a post office, it was formerly called Castle Station or Saginaw Post Office. Now the headquarters of the Historical Society of Saginaw County, The Castle Museum features exhibits on the local culture and heritage.

Frankenmuth

Often referred to as Michigan's Little Bavaria, Frankenmuth is a city defined by Bavarian nuances and architectural elements that are an ode to the province it was named for. Settled in the 19th Century by Franconian Lutherans, the city features a cultural and historical landscape woven with churches and museums which offer a glimpse at its history. Several outdoor attractions also abound, among which the picturesque Heritage Park is perhaps the most significant. A vast repository of events and festivals is a further testament to Frankenmuth's Bavarian heritage, illustrating its customs and traditions.
