Orlando’s first Catholic church, the St. James Catholic Cathedral parish can date it’s beginning to the year 1885. Over the years the church has seen several changes, including changes in location and the building which has undergone significant alterations over the years. The current structure dates back around 50 years to 1952. Notable features include the beautiful Rose window, impressive stone front and the majestic Wicks organ. Sunday Mass is held in three languages, in keeping with the diverse congregation, English, Spanish and Creole. The original Walt Disney World park, the Magic Kingdom creates a fantasy world for kids of all ages. The park contains seven different themed lands: Main Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland and Mickey's Toontown Fair. Each land displays the special Disney magic, and around the whole park are rides, games, characters, shows and shopping. At the center of the park lies Cinderella's Castle which towers over the park at 189 feet. A historical depot and block, featuring a state-of-the-art retail center and entertainment zone, the Church Street Station is a popular tourist attraction in Orlando, Florida. This commercial establishment also includes a SunRail stop, which is a famous commuter rail service in the Greater Orlando region. The iconic depot was built in 1889 by the South Florida Railroad Company and served multiple railroads up until 1926. During the early 1970s, the station and surrounding buildings were developed into an entertainment and commercial zone, featuring bars, lounges, restaurants and event spaces. This revamped Church Street Station today serves as one of the prime nightlife destinations in Downtown Orlando.
