The farm also offers a guest suite and self-sufficient barn accommodations for those who may want to get away from the city and enjoy a few days of simple, country living in the midst of Upper Jay's scenic beauty. From October through May, Sugar House hosts a farmers' market every Sunday between 11a and 2p. Other fun-filled events are also sometimes organized here. BluSeed Studios offers a platform for artists to collaborate and exhibit their works in a 2000 square feet (185.8 square meter) galleria. Funded by the New York State Council on Arts, the studio is rented out for art exhibitions, community meetings, concerts and wedding parties, among other things. The space is home to printmaking and ceramic studios,and features three individual studios for non-toxic printing, letter press, silkscreen printing and bookbinding, among printing works. The pottery and ceramics studio features seven electric wheels, a kickwheel, a slab roller for sculpting work, two electric kilns, a gas kiln, glazing slip cast areas and an outdoor raku kiln. Various workshops are held to train kids and adults on pottery and ceramic making, and printing techniques throughout the summer period.

Featuring a series of exhibits and records that are preserved to retell historic details of Lake Placid, this history museum is located in the center of the town. Housed in the historic train station, Lake Placid-North Elba Historical Society History Museum was opened to the public in 1967.
