Having once served as the residence of Henry Chapman Mercer, a prominent archaeologist, Fonthill Castle is a study in architectural grandeur. Built in the early 20th Century, this palatial structure is one of three Mercer buildings and is most noted for its unique architecture and impressive ceramics. The castle is now a popular tourist attraction and features some of Mercer's finest works. A collection of decorative tiles, furniture, and artifacts make up the permanent exhibits at this castle. A tour of the castle takes you through the life of its legendary resident, and also throws light on some of his most notable work.

James Wilson Marshall House

This is the former boyhood home of James Wilson Marshal, who discovered gold in the American River and propelled the California Gold Rush. The James Wilson Marshall House is now a house museum and is the base of the Lambertville Historical Society. Built in 1816, this Federal-style brick building features a unique decorative frieze, a pegged front door, parlor, hallways, a bedroom and chimney cupboards. It also contains period furniture and memorabilia of the town's industrial days. Before it became a museum, it was a nun's convent for 84 years. One of the interesting items in the house is an 1843 friendship quilt which has the names of 27 pioneer families embossed in it.

Philadelphia Center for Architecture

Philadelphia Center for Architecture gives you a chance to learn about the city's magnificent architecture through guided tours. Throughout the tour, their learned guides will acquaint you with the architectural styles that were used in the construction of PA Academy of the Arts, Reading Terminal, City Hall, the Wanamaker building, the Union League Building and Comcast Center, with comparisons drawn from architecture in Chicago and New York. The tour also talks about the city's transportation and planning, and lets you enjoy a bird's-eye view of the historic city from certain platforms.

Jenkins Homestead

Spread over 0.3 acres (0.12 hectares) of land, the Jenkins Homestead is a stunning historical home. With it's English Vernacular Farmstead design, this two and a half levels structure with the five bay bay fornt facade is simply beautiful. Popularly known as the oldest structure of Lansdale, this home is simple and beautiful with the greenery all around the place. This beauty is now open to the public with the displays of all the artifacts of the house.

Whitpain Public School

The Whitepain Public School serves the Blue Bell vicinity of the Montgomery County in Pennsylvania. Constructed and established in the year 1895, the school stands stern as one of the foremost schools in the region. The structure is a great depiction of the Gothic and the Late Victorian styles of architecture and is included in the National Register of Historic Places.
