Centrally located near the island’s only Costco and across the street from Kukui Grove Shopping Center, this rum distillery is one of the newest additions to the historic Kilohana Plantation. In addition to the distillery, the plantation offers train rides, a restaurant, a gallery, evening entertainment and more, while the rum store offers regular tastings and even a still for visitors to view the distilling process in action. Koloa Rum Distillery produces everything from gold, dark, white and spiced rums to wonderful Mai Tai mixes and rum cakes. Centrally located near the island’s only Costco and across the street from Kukui Grove Shopping Center, the plantation ride experience is one of the largest additions to the historic Kilohana Plantation. In addition to the train, the plantation offers a rum distillery, a restaurant, a gallery, evening entertainment and more. The train ride takes about 40 minutes and weaves through the rear acreage of the plantation. The pre-recorded audio guides visitors through the workings of this historic plantation, and the ride even includes a stop to feed the pigs, sheep horses, goats before heading back to the depot.
