The Growing Experience is a 7-acre (2.8-hectare) urban farm that supplies the community with fresh, organic produce through CSA subscriptions and a weekly farmers' market. Educational and community events that create awareness about the various eco-friendly agricultural practices employed at the farm, such as the use of aquaponics, are also organized at the farm making this a valued community resource. Unlike supermarkets, the Growing Experience not only offers the usual produce, but also heirloom, seasonal and other unusual veggies, farm-fresh chicken, tilapia and eggs, and homemade jam, jellies and spreads.
