Located deep within the Pinnacles National Park, Bear Gulch Day Use Area can be found close to various attractions such as Moses Spring Trail, Discovery Wall, Monolith, High Peaks and Bear Gulch Cave. Other than its proximity to the aforementioned landmarks, the place also offers facilities such as a nature center, picnic tables and grills, for a fine day out in the woods.

Mudstone Ranch is quite different from all other ranches at Hollister Hills State Vehicular Recreation Area. Unlike the other ranches, motorized vehicles aren't allowed on its terrain. The ranch has meandering trails that are perfect for hikes, mountain biking, and they are also preferred by horseback riders. The recreation area has an ideal terrain for adventure enthusiasts, however it is also blessed with scenic natural beauty that leisure-seekers can soak in using the trails around the Mudstone Ranch.
