Mead is the oldest type of alcohol that humankind has ever produced, in fact, residue from this honey-based beverage has been found in vessels and jars that date from approximately 9,000 years ago. Here at the Superstition Meadery, the simple ingredients of honey, water and yeast are still used, although these producers are much more refined and diverse in their offerings. The mead varies from the most traditional Lagrimas de Oro to Marion Mead made with blueberries, blackberries and raspberries. The latter is normally called a Bilbemel, and though there are many variants of mead like Pyment, Metheglin, Myod, Rhodomel, etc., this meadery makes it a little simpler with names that describe the flavor. In addition to mead, the craft cider, beer and wine are also impressive.

Located on North 6th Street, Pudge & Asti's Sports Grill is a lively sports bar where you can drop in for a pint. The place has as many as 24 TVs and 22 beers on tap. Every day brings a special dish from their kitchen and weekdays have great happy hours.
