Friel Court
Named in the honor of the former coach of Washington State Basketball Jack Friel, Friel Court is a basketball arena located inside the Beasley Performing Arts Coliseum in Washington State University campus. Home to the Washington State University's Cougar team since 1973, the arena serves as a state-of-the-art basketball court for university and national matches.
Bailey-Brayton Field
Catch some live sporting action at the Bailey-Brayton Field while in the city. It is a local ballpark under the ownership of the Washington State University. It was established in the year 1980 and has been constructed with a natural grass surface. It hosts a number of matches for intercollege tournaments and has been the home ground of the Washington State Cougars since it broke ground.
The Junk Castle
Along Interstate 195, perched atop a hill, is a fascinating landmark, the Junk Castle. Built by the eccentric American artist Victor Moore, this unique structure is constructed using an assortment of scrapped and recycled material. This quirky citadel, replete with washing machine doors for windows, served as the abode of the newly married couple Bobbie and Victor Moore. Although a private property, the castle attracts droves of curious travelers who stop by to marvel at the unique creation.
