Built in 1861, Old Santa Susana Stage Road was formerly used to connect Simi Valley and San Fernando Valley. It was declared a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument in 1972 and also finds a mention on the National Register of Historic Places. This old rocky road is set in Santa Susana Pass State Historic Park and is currently used as a hiking trail. Hike along this trail and revel in the panoramic views of the San Fernando Valley.

Saddle Peak is a magnificent peak in Malibu Creek State Park that is known for offering spectacular views of the surrounding Malibu Mountains that tower above the landscape. A popular outdoor venue hosting a wide variety of performances, shows, plays, presentations, educational classes and concerts in a beautiful natural environment of the 45acre Coldwater Canyon Park. This amphitheatre is a joint effort of the S. Mark Taper Foundation and its related individuals. There are around 300 seats in the amphitheatre where you can even bring your own food while enjoying the shows in the woodland setting.

This wonderful sanctuary houses big cats, such as leopards, lions, bobcats, and tigers. The Shambala Preserve cares and protects exotic felines that were either abandoned or suffered from neglect. On select days the Shambala Preserve is open to the public and you can take a safari tour where you get up close to these beautiful creatures. Watch as a huge tiger leaps across his large enclosure or lions take a nap. You'll get closer and learn more than you would at any zoo while knowing that this facility is about helping and caring for these once neglected felines. Visitors must be 18 or older and reservations are required.

Golden Valley Ranch Open Space is a verdant expanse of land located on the Placerita Canyon east of Santa Clarita. Sprawling over more than 900 acres (364.2 hectares), the park is cloaked in blankets of oak woodlands, which make up a highlighting feature of the Santa Clarita Valley. Meandering trails define the landscape of the open space, allowing visitors to explore the lush green terrain and take in the beautiful views of the rolling hills surrounding the park.
