Spread across 933 acres (377.57 hectares), Brandywine Creek State Park was established in 1965. It features four nature preserves, including Tulip Tree Woods, Flint Woods, the Carney Tract, and the FreshWater Marsh, along with bike trails, pavilions, an interpretive center, hiking trails, picnic spots, and a disc golf course. Some of the activities that you can enjoy here are geocaching, canoeing, mountain biking, birdwatching, and fishing. The museum houses a collection of artifacts and machinery of the DuPont mills and tries to show the impact of industrialization on the progress and growth of America. The library, on the other hand, houses a collection of books, photographs, archives and other manuscripts that recite the tale of economic and technological growth of the country. Apart from enriching the knowledge of its visitors, the Hagley Museum and Library also serves as an event space where local events and conferences are a regular feature.
The Winterthur Museum is an old house that used to be inhabited by Henry Francis du Pont. Located on the Country Estate, there are over 150 rooms in the house that are beautifully maintained. The house is decorated with artifacts that he collected over the years as well as items added after he died. Tastefully laid out, the house has 85,000 pieces of priceless artifacts that include paintings, furniture, artwork and lots more in the galleries at the house. It is also home to the Campbell Collection of Soup Tureens. You can also take a self-guided tour around the vast estate.

The Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts is one of the best art centers in the country. What used to be a railroad passenger-coach factory is now an art hub like no other. Built in the late-17th Century, the house was initially occupied by English methods when the region was an English colony. Today, the carefully restored structure is a popular house museum that allows visitors to step back in time and witness its intriguing history. Visitors can take a tour of the house to explore its interiors, which include an antique spoon rack, a cupboard, a Bible from 1714, and other Dutch Colonial artifacts.
The Bergdoll House was owned by the Bergdoll's family that was touted to be one of the most affluent families around. This luxurious and classy structure speaks volumes about the owners riches and good taste. A blend of Beaux Arts and Italianate style of architectural design, it was included in the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. Currently, it has been transformed in to a modern apartment.
Established in 1799, Mount Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church is one of the town's oldest places of worship. The modest church building has been constructed in the 19th-century Revival style of architecture. The church played a significant role in the history of the African population of the time, by serving as an Underground Railroad station.
The Primitive Hall is a historic house located in Chester County, Pennsylvania. This two and a half story red brick house was built by Joseph Pennock, an Irish immigrant in 1738. The Georgian features of the house feature chimneys and gable roofs. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
The St. Paul's Church is a beautiful hstoric church with pristine white exteriors that give it a ancient look. Established in 1828, it displays a mix of Rural Gothic and Gothic Revival styles of architecture. This church is a parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. The church continues to be active and hosts services regularly.
