Wisconsin State Firefighters Memorial is a park and a memorial set up in honor of all the firefighters who have died in their line of duty. The memorial has been set up in 2003 with many other small structures that depict a small story indicating the hardships caused during saving lives. A tower bell that holds the firefighters bell which was used to ring in case of a fire call.
Situated in the central sands region of the state, this is a self-guided scenic highway that also acts as a rich cranberry growing region. The cranberry beds stretch across 50 miles and are a treat to the eye. You will also come across several wildlife creatures like Trumpeter swans, deer, Bald Eagles and Sandhill cranes, making it a great site for photography enthusiasts as well. Try to visit the highway during the harvest season during which the growth of cranberries is at its peak.

Located by the river, it comprises of a playground for children as well as a bandshell that regularly hosts concerts by the City Band, and other touring acts. This landscape is the venue for the annual artists’ gathering, the Art in the Park event.
Temple Beth Israel was built in 1905 and is Wisconsin's third oldest synagogue. Over a period of 4 decades it underwent renovation and was taken under Portage County Historical Society. The society then ensured the synagogue came to its original appearance end reopened its doors to the public as a museum. Now called Beth Israel Synagogue, the museum showcases Jewish religious practices to its core, while also depicting the Community of the Jews as a whole.
