Wisconsin State Firefighters Memorial is a park and a memorial set up in honor of all the firefighters who have died in their line of duty. The memorial has been set up in 2003 with many other small structures that depict a small story indicating the hardships caused during saving lives. A tower bell that holds the firefighters bell which was used to ring in case of a fire call.
Built in 1890 as the T.B. Scott Public Library, this elegant bibliotheca was renamed the McMillan Memorial Library in 1970 and has won quite a few awards as well. It has an amazing collections of books that are good for research and other educational purposes. This beautiful athenaeum has regular events such as Monday movies, story-times for children, family oriented programs, adult concerts, reading sessions, gaming and more. No wonder it is very popular among the locals here.

Try to visit the highway during the harvest season during which the growth of cranberries is at its peak.

The Pfiffner Pioneer Park is a great recreational spot for the community of Stevens Point. Located by the river, it comprises of a playground for children as well as a bandshell that regularly hosts concerts by the City Band, and other touring acts. This landscape is the venue for the annual artists’ gathering, the Art in the Park event.
