Yakama Nation Cultural Center focuses on the history and tradition of the Yakama Native Americans. Sprawled under clear blue skies, this serene park covers an area of 266 acres (108 hectares) near the Yakima River. Besides being an idyllic destination for relaxation and recreation, this park is also a bird-spotting paradise, home to waterbirds like wood ducks, herons, and blackbirds. Those with a passion for hiking will delight in the beautiful scenery along the designated trails during the summer, while those who wish to camp out or picnic at the park can enjoy the park's red-orange hues come fall. The park is closed during the winters.
