Gallup

Founded in 1881 as a railhead for the Atlantic and Pacific transcontinental rail route, Gallup was named after David Gallup, a paymaster for the railroad. Being on the edge of the Navajo reservation, the town is known as "The Heart of Indians", and is a phenomenal place to explore Native American history and culture.
