"Mystic Splendor"

The Pende Hill is a mystic beauty. Located to Lancashire's east, the hill lies near the Burnley, Nelson, Colne, Clitheroe and Padiham towns. Standing at a height of 557 meters (1,827 feet) above sea level, the hill is the source of Borough of Pendle's name. Falling in the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the hill is a vast carpet of greenery and natural wonder. The hill was notorious for the witchcraft that took place in the 17th century when the Pendle Witches trial was unearthed. However, the hill still manages to surprise every onlooker all thanks to its astounding splendor.
