Varallo Brothers Pasticceria
"A Taste of Italy"
Honing their skills right from ages 12 and 11 respectively, Michele and Giovanni Varallo, were apprentices for three years at Antonio Scandone’s Bakery in Montella Avellino, Italy. They have perfected their craft over the years, and run Varallo Brothers Pasticceria, a traditional Italian bakery in Philadelphia, close to Wharton. Their famous Chocolate Ricotta Cannoli is served alongside the lesser known Coda Daragosta, which is equally delectable. They have experimented with their family recipes and have come up with a range of baked goods that consists of traditional favorites as well as modern innovations.
