An addition to Asian eateries in Philly's Chinatown, Penang became one of the district's most Malaysian restaurant in a fairly short time after its inception. Offering a cuisine that's different from most Asian ones, Penang is always abuzz with local patrons on their return visits, so expect a wait on the weekend, day or night. The deep-fried fish dishes with Thai sauces and an array of sweet and spicy chicken dishes bring in customers by the droves.
