Giving an account of the rather notorious history of its inmates, the Wyoming Frontier Prison Museum is one of Rawlins' must-visit destinations. The prison is an attraction in itself and knowledgeable guides make the tours quite interesting for you. The tours of the prison include visits to the gallows, gas chambers, prison cells and the socializing areas of the culprits who were brought here while the guides give you a detailed picture of their fates. Several executions were carried out at this prison and legend has it that some cells still engulf you in the tension that the prisoners witnessed. This prison has also been at the center of attention of many paranormal researchers.
