Winzer Lutz Müller is a winery located on the outskirts of Dresden, and run by the Miller family. The area is open to visitors who can take a stroll along their vineyards located by the banks of River Elbe. They even have a wine cellar, with wines of several vintages assembled here over the years by the family patriarch. A variety of wines are available at their shop, such as Rose 2012, Scheurebe 2012 and 2000 Apple Brandy, among any others. Visitors can buy the bottles, or order wines by the glass and have it sitting in their garden area, along with some freshly baked bread. Â
"Wochenmärkte" means "farmer's market" in German. The Wochenmärkte at Schillerplatz is among the most popular farmer's market in Dresden. It is located at the western foot of Blaues Wunder (Blue Wonder), a famous bridge over the Elbe river. This triweekly market is set up for the whole day on Tuesdays and Thursdays and only in the mornings on Saturday. It is a great place to sample typical local dishes and shop for ingredients for home cooking while basking in the warm sunshine. Its proximity to the Schillerplatz railway station makes it all the more attractive with locals.
Sachsenmarkt is a weekly farmer's market, which is set up at Lingnerallee every Friday. A stroll through this market is a great way to acquaint oneself with the local food, cuisine and produce.
