The Coronado is an old hill located northwest of the Swedish town of Lindsborg. Standing at an elevation of roughly 300 feet (91.44 meters), the sandstone bluff is part of a chain of six others in the region. In 1936, a castle-like stone shelter was erected on its summit, which has now become a popular tourist attraction. Today, the hill is also known as Coronado Heights Park, which makes for a spectacular recreational destination offering beautiful views of the surrounding region.

Lindsborg came into existence in 1869 when a party of Swedish settlers headed by Pastor Olof Olsson arrived here. Referred to as Little Sweden, Lindsborg is known for its unique Swedish heritage. The Old Town area is replete with souvenir shops, traditional cafes, leafy avenues, and cobbled streets, all of which evoke memories of the days of yore. Svensk Hyllningsfest is held once in two years, every October in odd-numbered years to commemorate the town's Swedish roots. A standard souvenir everyone picks from here is the Dala Horse, a wooden toy that originated from the Dalarna Province in Sweden.

The Höglund Dugout is an unassuming little site in Lindsborg that is steeped in history. Located close to the Coronado Heights Castle, the dugout was once home to a Swedish family. Gustaf and Maria Höglund built this little "house" for themselves while their larger home was being constructed in the town. Interestingly, both their children were born in this little pit. Although a little obscure to locate, the Höglund Dugout is certainly an interesting piece of history that is worth visiting.

Faris Caves were excavated in the 1880s by Charles Griffee, a miner from Colorado, who lived in the caves for a few years after the excavation. These artificially excavated caves on Smoky Hill River eventually served as a storage room to keep food supplies cool, a spring house, generator room, and even a school. Today, visitors can explore the caves via a short hike. The interior walls contain carvings, which are worth a look. The hike to the caves is moderately challenging, so be sure to wear a good pair of shoes and carry plenty of water and insect repellent.

Pulpit Rock is a hidden natural wonder located within the Mushroom Rock State Park. This unique geological formation is situated on the end opposite the famous Mushroom Rock, from which the park gets its name. A relatively smaller formation, Pulpit Rock makes for an interesting visit within the park. Visitors can admire its unique structure and also click a few pictures with it for keepsakes.
