A municipal nine-hole course open to the public with a pay and play facility, this course opened in 1984 and poses enough challenges for amateur as well as seasoned golfers. Owing to it's location, scenic and immaculately maintained course also affords breathtaking vistas of Bath's cityscape. There's a well-stocked shop here also offering tuition, club hire and repairs. Established in 1894, Lansdown Golf Club offers a sprawling golf course and stunning views over Bath, across the Bristol channel. Clubhouse facilities are excellent owing to extension and refurbishment in the club's centenary year, 1994. Dining facilities are available including a dance floor, audio system and lounge bar overlooking the first tee and the smaller 19th Hole bar. There is a well-equipped professional's shop with lessons and advice available for members, guests or visitors. Only private members can use the facilities of the club.
