Why walk down four floors when you can slide down in a jiffy? The 13-meter high architectural wonder, Parabolic Slide makes this task possible at the Technical University of Munich. Parabolic Slide is a unique piece of art that features two slides starting from the fourth floor in the mathematics and informatics department. Set in the university building’s spacious atrium, these large slides are made to resemble a parabola that is sure to grab your attention. When you walk past the atrium, it is common to spot students slide down the giant slide.

This small, humorous museum is dedicated to the comedian and actor Karl Valentin (1882-1948), one of the country's most famous names, who was also much admired by more 'serious' colleagues, such as playwright Berthold Brecht. Some rooms describe his unforgettable stage partner Liesl Karlstadt and others are dedicated to Munich's folk singers. All of the exhibits reveal Valentin's dadaist and often subtle humour, such as his great 'winter toothpick' wrapped in fur.

Visible from quite a distance and known for its distinct design, Messeturm is situated at New Munich Trade Fair Center grounds. Towering at a height of 86 metres (282 feet), this steel giant is mainly known for its tubular structure, framed by concentric rings that span from the base to the very top. Intriguingly, these rings aren't connected to the tubular main frame and are suspended from sturdy ropes instead. The unconventional design choice and the 28 diamonds at the top are the main reasons for its fame in the city, as tourists flock to click pictures around it.

A whimsical fixture set in the KPMG building courtyard, Umschreibung or the Endless Staircase as it is also known, draws passersby with its striking visage. Attributed to Olafur Eliasson and believed to reflect "movement without destination," the unique sculpture has kindled the metaphorical inclinations of many, leading to the emergence of numerous theories speculating its true meaning. While this particular factor remains elusive, as is the case with most art, the 30-feet (9 meters) double helix steel contraption nevertheless invites visitors to ascend its spiraling stairs and trace its enigmatic yet masterful design.

Set in the bustling Marienplatz in Munich, Wurmeck is part of the New Town Hall. Built in 1906, this Neo-Gothic style tower features a sculpture of the mythical creature, lindworm. This stunning bronze sculpture was made by Anton Kaindl. The tower depicts the battle against the dragon-like creature. According to the legend, due to the dragon’s presence, the residents in the city of Munich were plagued with death and sufferings. Many brave men fought against the dragon and city was brought back to its former glory.
