Established by Emperor Ferdinand in 1534, the Royal Gardens outside of Prague Castle are gorgeous with manicured lawns and beautiful flower arrangements. These gardens were organically created in a Renaissance-style and the Royal Family would walk among the greenery and admire rare plants. Today, the garden has an mostly an English-style appearance, though it does still have some Renaissance elements as well as Baroque characteristics.

El Puente de Carlos, originalmente llamado Kamenný most o simplemente Puente de Piedra, fue construido durante un periodo de varios años, entre 1357 y 1402. El Puente atraviesa el río Moldava y conecta el Castillo de Praga y Malá Strana, o el Pequeño Distrito de Praga con Staré Město o la Ciudad Vieja de Praga. Consta de tres torres y 16 arcos, y mide 520 metros de largo y tiene estatuas barrocas de santos y figuras sagradas del siglo XVII. Viaje en teleférico desde el nivel de la calle hasta la cima. Una vez arriba, la torre de observación Petrin, construida en 1891 según el modelo de la torre Eiffel, brinda una maravillosa vista. Hay también un observatorio y dos jardines formales. A nivel de la calle hay un jardín de rosas alrededor de un laberinto para niños. Pasando un portón en la antigua muralla (el muro del hambre) hay un jardín exuberante y tranquilo con una pequeña cascada, un estanque y muchas variedades de flores. The oldest and most important square in Prague, Old Town Square was originally a marketplace where merchants from all over Europe gathered. The square has witnessed many events of historical importance including the installation of the new city council in 1784 after the five districts of Prague were united. It was also the epicenter of the Prague Uprising in May 1945. The Hus Monument (1915) stands in the square's center. The monument is surrounded by a baroque mantle of some of the city's finest buildings (all of great historic and architectural interest) colored in pastel hues. Nowadays, the square is closed to traffic and serves as the setting for many outdoor restaurants, bars and cafes as well as for stalls selling traditional Czech arts and crafts.

Separado de la orilla izquierda, justo a la izquierda del puente Charles por un angosto hilo de agua llamado Certovka (el arroyo del diablo), está Kampa, una pequeña isla en el río Vltava. Don't confuse this church with the other St. Nicholas, in Mala Strana. The 18th-century, twin-towered edifice of this church looks larger from the outside than it really is. The constraint on space meant that the towers were placed on the long, southern flank of the church rather than, as is usually done, on the shorter western façade. This church has a gorgeous late-baroque interior and concerts here often center around the massive organ at the rear. Concerts are held daily in the summer. Note that the musicians usually stand out of sight in the organ loft. The acoustics here are superb enough to make even a middling soprano sound great.
