This place is very attentive to the quality of its beers, many of which come from Germany: you can find pale ales, double malted beer or stouts. Furthermore, Buffet Birreria Rudy easily matches all these different beers with typical dishes of the Triestine tradition; for example, the Vienna, or sausage with sauerkraut. Often, in this friendly pub, you can listen to live rock music, giving the pub a real Oktoberfest atmosphere.

Trattoria al Faro is located at the foot of the imposing Vittoria Lighthouse, facing the gulf, and is the place to try some good seafood dishes and excellent wines. This eatery has great business, mainly due to the desirable location and the resoluteness of the owner. Now the restaurant has become one of the most highly appreciated places to spend the evening for people of all ages. The terrace is splendid with great views! The interior is rather less inspiring, having remained the same as it always was. The restaurant is perfect for birthday parties, wedding receptions and christening parties and is also open at lunchtime. Situated on the Friuli road which leads up to Trieste's high plains, it takes about 10-15 minutes to get to the restaurant by car from the city center, and therefore abounds in parking space. The service is friendly and the dishes are simple, even including some old local specialties. The wine cellar is very well-stocked to complement the delightful fare!

One of the city's most popular jazz clubs, Round Midnight evokes a sense of nostalgia with its classic decor and fabulous live music. Quaint, dimly-lit and cozy, this place has all the makings of a great venue, where patrons get up close and personal with the performers. While Jazz might be its specialty, this is also the venue for bands across genres including rock and hip hop. Expect to get your money's worth at this club, with great music and fine drinks that will certainly have you coming back for more.

Away from the main road, the big green sign of Old London stands out. After having entered the double glass doors you will come into this new venue where great attention has been paid to detail. Everything, from the bar to the carpets, from the sofas to the London signs, to the old Guinness adds, gives off an olde Anglo-Saxon air. The atmosphere is really warm and relaxing, the pub is very in vogue at the weekend and is almost always full; however, there is a rapid turnover of clientèle. Particularly suited for those wanting to spend an intimate evening in front of the chimney place. When sporting events are on, you can watch on the screen in the lounge. There is seating for 60. As far as the food is concerned hot dishes are served as well as filled rolls and you can choose from 11 different types of draft beers and seven bottled.

This must be the most luxurious, as well as the oldest cafe in Trieste. Opened in 1825, in what was once called Piazza dei Negozianti, Caffè Tommaseo is a favorite with artists and intellectuals and continues to host cultural events, meetings and press conferences. It is a bright place with splendid stucco decorations that date back to the early 20th Century. Caffè Tommaseo offers a vast choice of tea and good sandwiches and desserts, as well as excellent coffee and hot chocolate.
