Little River State Park

Little River State Park combines the best of nature and history to create an unforgettable outdoor experience. The site of a once thriving settlement, the abandoned remains of sawmills, farms, cabins, and the foundations of old homesteads can still be seen in some parts of the woods. Traversing through the forest leads you to the Waterbury Reservoir, created by a dam in the 1930s. With endless options, you can swim in the cool waters, fish for bass, or go for something more adventurous like water skiing, hiking, and biking. Campers can also go the old-fashioned way by pitching tents or renting the rustic yet robust log cabins that dot the lake's periphery.
